Celebrity brings its style to Europe’s rivers, debuting in 2027 on the Rhine and the Danube.
Big-ship polish, brought to the river
Celebrity River Cruises is a new premium brand from Celebrity Cruises, part of Royal Caribbean Group, and it marks Celebrity’s first move onto Europe’s inland waterways. The line will debut in 2027 with two ships, Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, sailing the Rhine and the Danube.
The idea is to carry the design, dining and service that Celebrity is known for at sea onto a far more intimate river ship. Each vessel will hold just 86 cabins, and the fleet is planned to grow toward twenty ships by 2031, one of the boldest entries the river-cruise world has seen.

A riverboat unlike any other
Compass and Seeker will feature open top decks with 360-degree views, a top-deck bar and grill and an infinity-edge plunge pool that extends out over the water. A sleek, lightweight hull is designed for smoother sailing and to keep itineraries moving even when river levels run low.
Signature to the design is the Magic Edge, described as the first cantilevered dining pod on a river ship, along with a hybrid propulsion system built for quieter, cleaner cruising.
Celebrity’s style and dining, on the river
Each ship will offer eight bars and restaurants, including venues Celebrity guests already love such as the Martini Bar, the Sunset Bar and Café al Bacio. Cabins span five categories, from River View rooms to Infinite Balcony staterooms and suites.
The promise is familiar Celebrity comfort and energy in a setting small enough to dock in the middle of Europe’s great cities, steps from the old town.
The Rhine and the Danube, from 2027
The first voyages will sail the Rhine and the Danube, threading past the castles, vineyards and capitals that make these two rivers the classic introduction to European river cruising. Celebrity Compass is scheduled to begin sailing in 2027, with Celebrity Seeker close behind.
